Lunches $2/with 24 hour notice

The Best Years Senior Center offers a number of services and activities which are offered on an on-going basis. The center was created with love and hope to all adults who have been teachers in life ... no matter what roles you had in your “working for a living” years.

Now is the time for you to relax and enjoy a new part of life
- leisure, laughing, and recreational fun.

AARP #923 meets the 2nd Friday of each month from 11 am - 1 pm, Covered Dish Lunch
Texas Senior Citizens meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 11 am - 1 pm, Covered Dish Lunch
Greater Sabine Area Activity Directors and Social Worker Association meet every 2nd Friday of each month from 10 am - 12 Noon.
Defensive Driving Courses are held the last Thursday and Friday 6 months of the year. Cost: $10.00

Nutritional Site - Each day a hot, well balanced meal is served through Nutritional Services.
Lunches are $2 for 60 year or older $4, order 24 hours in advance.

Ceramics: New Instructor - Maggie LaBond New Assistant - Theresa Rehtus
Paint, laugh and use your fine motor skills - eyes, fingers and have fun while staying fit!!!
Computer Classes will start in January - sign up now!
Crafts with Virginia Luttrell will begin in January.
Bridge lessons in January for beginners - excellent way to improve cognitive skills and make new friends.

VOLUNTEER TEACHERS
          It is through our volunteer teachers that the Best Years Senior Center can offer the public quality programs that
         keep our senior citizens active and healthy.  We are grateful to have over 25 volunteers who give their talents and skills.

OTHER SPORTS
          Horseshoes and Ping Pong are available upon request. Interested in mature adult sports
          - baseball, archery, tennis, senior Olympics? Please notify us, we’re ready!

TRANSPORTATION to Best Years Senior Center Recreation
          Transportation to classes are provided twice a week for participating patrons. Reservations 24 hours ahead and an
          application of participation must be on file. Call 838-1902 for information.

NEW PARTICIPANTS
          All programs are for active seniors 55 + years of age, married, single, or new in town!
          New participants are welcome! The Best Years Senior Center is a wonderful place to learn, socialize and have fun
          with other beautiful, caring, people! Leave your troubles behind and make us a part of YOUR weekly schedule!
          From line dancing, billiards, to ceramics or sports - this is a place for everyone!

      Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose (sugar) Screening are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 8:30 am
