The City of Beaumont’s New Housing Construction
Program assists with new housing construction through various
non-profit and for-profit developers in Beaumont to eligible
families. Down payment assistance is available as a project cost
of new construction.

Payment Assistance Program Down Payment
Assistance is available for first-time homebuyers who purchase an
existing or newly constructed home inside the Beaumont city limits. City
of Beaumont Lease-Purchase Program A
Lease-Purchase option is available to first-time homebuyers who purchase
properties inside the Beaumont city limits. Homes may be leased up to 36
months before purchase. Income limits are adjusted for family size, thus your annual
household income must be at or below the specified amounts based on your
family size. All
programs are funded through the U. S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development and are subject to federal program
compliance requirements and the actual availability of
federal funding. Submission of an application does not
guarantee approval or assistance. The Weatherization
Assistance Program is funded by the Department of Energy.

Housing Services
Community Development is responsible for the City of Beaumont's
revitalization program. The construction of new affordable houses, the
provision of first home buyers assistance and the rehabilitation of
older homes, are activities which help expand the City's residential tax
base. The objective is to develop viable urban communities and improve
economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate
income.

repairs to their principal place of residence.
