Tax Abatement Policy
In an effort to encourage economic development activities, the City of
Beaumont offers tax abatements as outlined in the following policy.

Neighborhood
Empowerment Zones
Neighborhood Empowerment Zone: is an area
designated as such for the purpose of providing economic incentives,
including a tax abatement, as authorized by the City of Beaumont in
accordance with Texas Local Government Code Annotated Section 378 as

Fair Housing Activity Statement - Texas (FHAST)

Notice of Non-discrimination Advertisement
The City of Beaumont is in the process of applying for Round 2.2 of the
State of Texas' Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery
Program Funding. All applicants must have a FHAST ( Fair Housing
Activity Statement-Texas ) Form to accompany their application. The
FHAST Form must be completed by a locally appointed FHAST Work Group
that will be responsible for developing a locally defined Fair Housing
Action Plan.
